The cable aims to be a problem-solver for integrators, supporting up to 10K resolution and 48 Gbps bandwidth using SSF fibre optic technology within the HDMI form factor.

The AOC is equipped with the latest HDMI 2.1 features including High Dynamic Range (HDR), Variable Refresh Rate (VRR) and support for up to 120 fps/Hz. It supports eARC and is constructed using four strands of Cleerline’s SSF fibre optic glass, alongside copper wire.

The HDMI cable reduces EMI and latency, being suitable for environments with electrical interference. All Cleerline AOC HDMI cables feature identifiable directional connector heads and a plenum-rated outer jacket for integration into residential installations.

Rick Sant, managing partner at Cleerline Technology Group, said: “Now our Active Optical Cable HDMI lineup is available in lengths from 5 metres to 60 metres, bridging the gap between traditional HDMI installations and fibre optic solutions without the need for additional extenders.

“Additionally, our SSF AOC cables offer the unique advantage of being re-terminatable using standard multi-mode fibre connectors, allowing for future upgrades or modifications without the chore of having to run new cables.”
